Mary Delong

Mary is a first-year student in Professional Writing at Algonquin College. For most of her life, she has lived in a small town near Toronto. Lately, she has made Ottawa her new home.

An avid chocolate-lover, she enjoys ruining her eyes with books, spending time with her bizarre gaggle of friends, and watching a good tear-jerker. Although she has a long way to go, Mary hopes to write something that will make a difference in the world. (And put a few coins in her pocket!)

Review: You Are Not a Gadget by Jaron Lanier

One thing this book did for me was make me think about what would happen if the Internet ceased to exist one day. Millions of people would lose their jobs, and there would be a world-wide depression. Our world has become so reliant so quickly on such a fragile thing, which is more than a little scary.
